Author’s note: This edition of ‘Imhotep,’ updated November 2, 2012, has been rigorously edited and corrected. I hope that the result is a more professional and satisfying read. I am working on a prequel/sequel to ‘Imhotep.’ Called ‘The Buried Pyramid,’ it tells the story of King Djoser’s rise to the throne and follows the later career of Imhotep.
