We have moved forward in all phases of our life but when it comes to religion, we continue to blindly follow primitive and backward ideas on God, Heaven and the afterlife. We hear descriptions of how wonderful Heaven is going to be but few question what exactly does one DO in Heaven? Do we float around all day like zombies? Sadly, it is not that there are no answers & there are none, the real tragedy is that few ask such questions.
Even one's own Parents will not let their adult kids sit around all day doing nothing, but we are supposed to believe that a magic being has nothing better to do than keep billions in nice comfort for eternity? How does this make any sense?
Heaven is Fool's Gold
What is the point of Life? To make sure we join the ‘right’ religion, pray to the ‘right’ God?
In Corrupt and Despotic countries, the way to get ahead is to polish the right shoes, have the right contacts – is God's realm corrupt?
Heaven is nothing but a metaphor for the womb, childhood and the past, whereas Reincarnation stands for Life, Adulthood and the Future
Life is harsh, difficult we know that – if we think we have it bad, it was much, much worse for our ancestors – naturally they fell easy prey to religions offering the easy life in the sky, provided of course, that they join their religion, pray only to their God. Their God's favors limited to his religious members only
For people who lived under Kings/Dictators who demanded obedience and loyalty in return for their favors, such ideas made perfect sense
But they do not today, and that is the real tragedy here
No wonder Marx called Religion(Heaven) the opium of the people
Even uneducated & unsophisticated people understand the joke that is being played on them when a Kid cries wolf too often but even the most educated and intelligent of us blindly believe in a magic being ‘he is coming any day now, all the signs point to it’, will solve all our problems. Greed for the easy good life obtained by simply using the magic words abracadabra seems irresistible to even for the best of minds, it seems
Heaven is for the weak, the Coward running away from Life, whereas Reincarnation is for the Strong, the Warrior
Reincarnation asks us to view life and this world from a different point of view, from the view point of the Warrior, the Strong. Life is a Gift, not a punishment! The problems that life throws at us are an opportunity for us to shine, to show God what we are capable of, to make Her Proud!
As the cover shows, the nail that stands out gets hammered. There have been so many such nails in the history of our planet and because of such nails we live in a much better world today
Even as Kids we understand that to get anything good – good grades, a spot on the sports team or theater or the music band – will not come easy. We will have to work hard, sacrifice and most important, never give up. We learn that there will be setbacks, that we will fail but the test of our mettle will be how often are we willing to get back up and continue the fight
Heaven is for those who have given up on life, those who have quit. Fools chasing after Fools Gold think that some magic being has nothing better to do than to cater to their comforts for eternity. It is like thinking that ‘some rich guy is handing out bagfuls of cash around the corner – let's go grab some and live the easy good life’. Such ideas are but fantasies, they are not real – we know that, but religions promise the same rich guy giving away cash and blindly we fall for these cheap promises
Hinduism does say that such fantasies will come true but not the way these people hoped for…
