Non-violence underpins Delhis soft power in both the West and the Middle East, while having spurred Indias opposition to Western intervention in Iraq. Analyzing state behavior and interviewing diplomats, the book charts cultures evolving influence from Rajiv Gandhi to Narendra Modi.
