The book is a compilation of Max Planck’s late essays from 1947 and 1948 (around and after the time of his death) accompanied by his autobiography.
The English version was possibly first published in the US in 1949. The source scan is based on the UK edition of 1950, probably on a subsequent not dated reprint (possibly 1968).
The book is part of a 5 volumes [UL] ‘series’ of Max Planck’s essays on the philosophy of physics available in English on P2P venues. In approximate chronological order, the ‘series’ comprises of:
