The Workshop for Women in Graph Theory and Applications was held at the Institute for Mathematics and Its Applications (University of Minnesota, Minneapolis) on August 19-23, 2019. During this five-day workshop, 42 participants performed collaborative research, in six teams, each focused on open problems in different areas of graph theory and its applications. The research work of each team was led by two experts in the corresponding area, who prior to the workshop, carefully selected relevant and meaningful open problems that would yield high-quality research and results of strong impact. As a result, all six teams have made significant contributions to several open problems in their respective areas. The workshop led to the creation of the Women in Graph Theory and Applications Research Collaboration Network, which provided the framework to continue collaborating and to produce this volume.

This book contains six chapters, each of them on one of the different areas of research at the Workshop for Women in Graph Theory and Applications, and written by participants of each team.

کارگاه آموزشی برای زنان در نظریه و کاربردهای نمودار در مؤسسه ریاضیات و کاربردهای آن (دانشگاه مینه سوتا، مینیاپولیس) در تاریخ 19 تا 23 آگوست 2019 برگزار شد. در طول این کارگاه پنج روزه، 42 شرکت کننده تحقیقات مشترک انجام دادند. در شش تیم، هر کدام بر روی مسائل باز در زمینه های مختلف نظریه گراف و کاربردهای آن تمرکز کردند. کار تحقیقاتی هر تیم توسط دو متخصص در حوزه مربوطه رهبری می‌شد، که قبل از کارگاه، مسائل باز مرتبط و معنی‌دار را با دقت انتخاب کردند که تحقیقات با کیفیت بالا و نتایج تاثیرگذاری قوی را به همراه داشت. در نتیجه، هر شش تیم سهم قابل توجهی در چندین مشکل باز در مناطق مربوطه خود داشته اند. این کارگاه منجر به ایجاد شبکه همکاری پژوهشی زنان در نظریه گراف و کاربردها شد که چارچوبی را برای ادامه همکاری و تولید این جلد فراهم کرد.

این کتاب. شامل شش فصل است که هر یک از آنها در مورد یکی از حوزه های مختلف تحقیق در کارگاه زنان در نظریه و کاربردهای نمودار است و توسط شرکت کنندگان هر تیم نوشته شده است.
